We had our first father/child day at the Peace Center, and it was a success.
There were six fathers, eight children, and about as many volunteers.  Time and space were provided for: talking, reading, eating, learning about Bluebirds and painting houses for them, painting wooden cars, and just spending a few hours together.  A separate program was offered for caregivers at Hillsborough Unitarian Universalist Church.

Thank you so much to all the people who made the day possible: residents, volunteers, staff, caregivers, and the like.  A special thank you to Our Children’s Place (http://ourchildrensplace.com/).  We pray more such events will happen in the future.
