Through our wonderful full-time chaplain, Rev. Dr. Dewey Williams, we provide for the spiritual comfort and growth of all of the residents at Orange Correctional. We bring programs that benefit the residents holistically and help to prepare them for reentry. The core of our work could be described as reflecting or validating the incarcerated person’s humanity. In a system that is often dehumanizing, we offer friendship, listening ears, encouragement, and support in finding resources. This help is crucial to men as they think about their lives beyond prison. With this support, a vision for post-release is created along with the confidence to start a new life.
